Louisiana Veterans Honor Medal

Veteran's Suicide Prevention Hotline Begins Operation: The Suicide Prevention Hotline for U.S. Veterans, announced by the Department of Veterans Affairs on July 2, is now fully operational. By calling the toll-free hot line at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), veterans can get direct, round-the-clock access to mental health professionals.

Know What to Do About the Flu
  • Cover your cough
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • If you have a fever, stay home for at least 24 hrs after that fever has ended
  • Get a vaccine when it becomes available
Flu terms defined — Seasonal flu, H1N1 flu, avian flu, and pandemic flu are not the same.

9am - 11am and 2pm - 4pm Monday thur Friday veterans may receive their flu shots, free-of-charge at the HOUMA VETERANS CLINIC. No appointment is necessary. Please bring your veteran's ID card with you. (985) 851-0188 / 800-401-0188
Remember if you have a clinic appointment scheduled you may get your flu shot during your scheduled appointment.
